FOCUS:
SOUTH PACIFIC
On Friday, 2005
April 08, a hybrid eclipse of the Sun will be visible from within
a narrow corridor which traverses the far Southern Hemisphere. The
path of the Moon's shadow begins southeast of New Zealand and stretches
across the Pacific Ocean to Panama, Colombia and Venezuela. A partial
eclipse will be seen within the much broader path of the Moon's
penumbral shadow, which includes New Zealand, much of the South
Pacific, South and North America. Join us as we cruise the pacific,
and witness this event from Pitcairn Island. More details to follow
shortly.
